Mención Diseño para (por y con) la cultura
The new exhibition spaces of the Museum of the Constitutions are the result of the construction of a series of museum walls - large but light self-supporting wooden structures - that generate a strong dialogue with the imposing architecture of the former San Pedro and San Pablo temples. A total of nine radically different shaped walls were built resulting in four new storage areas, two dark rooms for interactive tables, a new office area, a multi-purpose room, a temporary exhibition area and an agora with bleachers. Display elements and furniture for the hall and adjoining spaces were also designed and manufactured. The design process sought to harness material and use sustainable processes.
