This book summarizes 20 years of research by its author as a journalist specialized in design (editor for 18 years of the supplement m2 of the newspaper Página 12 of Argentina), curator and cultural manager.
The first chapter is devoted to the relationship between design and human values: why should it matter to us, its concerns, the love of objects, experimentation and play, the celebration of creativity. The second has to do with the energy of objects, what anthropologists call numen or manna. Talismans and healthy art. The third dealt with the DNA of design in the South: imagination as a resource, reuse and fair trade. In the fourth, the relationship between design and communication and in the last, the new paradigm of the South based on the design-craftsmanship binomial.
