Visual identity and book design conceived to present and capture the essence of Afro-Panamanian food and culture. For over a year, the studio worked alongside renowned Panamanian chef Cuquita Arias de Calvo. Colorful, fun and exciting are some of the essential qualities of Cuquita and the working chemistry that made the publication an extremely proud project for Panamanian culture. In 2017 it received the Best African Cookbook Outside Africa Award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards held in Yantai, China, and two Nominations in the categories Best Cookbook in Latin America and Best Cookbook in the Caribbean. The book is written in Spanish and English in order to make our culinary culture known to the world.
