This catalogue is part of the Uruguayan presentation at the 16th Biennale of Architecture in Venice. "Prison to prison" establishes a dialogue between two antagonic penitentiary models that coexist in the territory, questioning the role of architecture in these kinds of constructions.
The graphic proposal in its whole contemplates this issue and incentivates in its conception a constant reformulation. In this sense, the catalogue that accompanies the exhibition has no specific way of reading it, but it invites the reader to do their own stitches, offering multiple formats applied to the different contents.
The project is state funded. This presented a design challenge. That is how this work was conceived, as a functional piece to the project and considering real possibilites of printing.
